Azerbaijan declares readiness to establish relations with Armenia


Baku is ready to build mutually beneficial cooperation with Yerevan and has already handed over to Armenia the updated text of the agreement on relations between the two countries. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Turkey in Avaza, TASS reports.
"Azerbaijan is determined to establish bilateral relations with Armenia on the basis of mutual recognition and respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of each other's borders, to replace the page of conflict with mutually beneficial cooperation, normal neighborly relations," the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
According to the official, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia is expected in the coming weeks to continue discussions.
The meeting of the heads of the Foreign ministries of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey was held in Avaza on Tuesday, on the eve of the trilateral summit of the heads of States.
