“The Avaza Summit is the most recent and concrete example of our efforts. Energy, transport and commercial issues will be the main items on the agenda of our summit. On this occasion, we will also sign various agreements to strengthen the contractual basis of our relations,” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan summit.“The Avaza Summit is the most recent and concrete example of our efforts. “The Avaza Summit is the most recent and concrete example of our efforts. Energy, transport and commercial issues will be the main items on the agenda of our summit. On this occasion, we will also sign various agreements to strengthen the contractual basis of our relations,” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan summit.

“Thus, we will maintain effective cooperation mechanisms between our structures responsible for energy, transport, trade, economy, customs, education, science and culture,” he added.

Opining that the Awaza summit is mainly about making a move on natural gas, Erdogan said, “That's why my Minister of Energy and Natural Resources will be with us at this summit right now. We'll speak to this issue there."

Responding to a reporter's question about whether Turkey could become one of the alternative routes for transporting Turkmen gas to the world market, President Erdogan said that he had discussed this issue earlier with his Turkmen counterpart Berdimuhamedov.

“We will discuss this issue at the summit. I hope that Turkmen gas will be supplied to our country through the Caspian Sea,” Erdogan told reporters.
