Miller and Erdogan discussed the prospects of creating a gas hub

Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan and the head of the Russian energy company Gazprom Alexey Miller discussed the supply of Russian gas to Turkish consumers, as well as the prospects for creating a gas hub, the company said following a working visit of its delegation to Turkey.
"The meeting discussed issues related to the supply of Russian gas to Turkish consumers, as well as the prospects of creating a gas hub in Turkey," Gazprom said in a statement on its official Telegram channel.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that he plans to discuss the creation of a gas hub on the territory of his country at the Turkey-Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan trilateral summit, which will be held in Avaza on December 14.
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal, speaking at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey today, called the "introduction" of Turkmen natural gas into the hub system important. He noted that corridors crossing the Caspian Sea have acquired great importance and stressed that Turkmenistan is in a strategic location for transport, trade and energy routes in this direction, and is also a major energy exporter with the fourth largest natural gas reserves in the world.
