Turkmen football players still have chances to continue the struggle for the Asian Cup
On the field of the capital's stadium "Kopetdag" the team of Turkmenistan met with the outsider of the group – Singapore team. The match resulted in a win of our players, which gives them the chances to reach the next stage of the struggle for the Asian Cup. To be fair, we note that this match was extremely important for both rivals, as the fate of both teams depended on the outcome of the meeting. The beginning of the match was promising for the Turkmen footballers, as well as their fans. The result of the series of attacks of our team was the long-awaited goal. V.Orazsahedov scored a goal to the national team of Singapore on the 18th minute of the match and put his team ahead. However, the opponent did not want to give up and, continuing the fight, in ten minutes equalized the score. Draw with the outsider of the group did not settle the national team of Turkmenistan, the players of which did not stop the unsuccessful onslaught on the opponent's gates. For a long time this pressure did not bring practical effect. The first time was ended with a score of 1:1. Later, the national team of Turkmenistan, at least applying a combination game, still achieved the goal scoring of the Singapore team. To the joy of the Turkmen fans, the task was solved. Victory in today's match, we repeat, was an indispensable condition for continuing the struggle for getting out of the group stage in the final stage of the struggle for the Cup. The decisive goal in the time added by the arbitrator was scored by the same energetic V.Orazsahedov. The final score 2:1 allowed the Turkmen team to catch up with the leader of the group on points - the team of Bahrain, which in this round, not showing a decent game, lost with a minimum score of 2:1 to Chinese Taipei. On the way to the final stage of the Asian Cup, the Turkmen team has to hold two meetings – away match with Bahrain and home match with the Chinese Taipei. The task, let's say at once, is not easy, the teams are ambitious and they will not give up the game for nothing. However, sluggish optimism and hope for a miracle do not leave the heart of the Turkmen fans.
