15 bilateral documents were signed during the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Moscow
The 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation was held in Moscow on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Ministers Rashid Meredov and Alexei Overchuk.
The state and prospects of the Turkmen-Russian trade and economic cooperation, which has received a powerful impetus in recent years, were considered.
"The talks confirmed the mutual interest in expanding partnerships in various areas, entering new areas," the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
It was noted that such areas as the fuel and energy complex, transport, industry, agriculture, construction, and healthcare were named among the priorities. The cultural and humanitarian dialogue was also touched upon.
The heads of delegations spoke in favor of building up cooperation across the spectrum in accordance with the instructions of the presidents of the two countries and the logic of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
As a result of the two-day visit of the Turkmen delegation to Moscow, 15 bilateral documents were signed, including the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for 2023-2024, agreements in the economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres.
During the visit, a number of meetings were held between the relevant ministries and departments of the two countries.
