A well-known Russian theater director conducts master classes for students of the Institute of Culture in Ashgabat


Nikolai Skorik-one of the leading teachers of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, artistic director of the “N. L. Skorik Workshop” and director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov holds these days master classes at the Turkmen Institute of Culture, the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Turkmenistan reports.
In classes with Turkmen students, Skorik touches on the most relevant areas that students will need in their future profession - the basics of acting and directing, the intricacies of the creative process, the problem of emotional burnout and much more.
The Russian director introduces them to the best traditions of the Russian theatre. He conducts with them a "analysis" of the rehearsals of the artists of the Moscow Art Theater on video materials and tries to stage scenes from such well-known performances as "The Seagull" and "Three Sisters" with Turkmen students.
The creative project was organized by the Russian House in Ashgabat together with the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
