Turkmen Parliament approves draft law on state budget for 2023


Both chambers of the Turkmen Parliament approved the newly reviewed draft law "On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2023", taking into account the proposals and recommendations made by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (upper house of parliament) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
TDH reports this following a joint meeting of the chambers of the national legislative body of the country with some members of the government.
Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, who oversees finance and economy in the government, announced in detail the data on state budget revenues and expenditures separately for each industry, noting that the main part of the funds will be directed to the social sphere.
Having unanimously voted for the adoption of the state budget, the parliamentarians stressed that the document is carefully calculated, backed up by the resource potential and will serve the interests of the people. The text of the law itself was drawn up in accordance with the Action Plan for carrying out changes in the budget system of Turkmenistan for 2022-2028.
Earlier ORIENT reported that the upper house of the Turkmen parliament rejected The draft Law "On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2023", returning it for revision to the lower house on the proposal of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
