Customs officers of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed инфообменinformation exchange about high-risk goods


Members of the Port Control Group of the customs post "Farap Avtoyollary" of the customs of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan completed practical course to control container transportation together with colleagues from the customs post "Alat" of Uzbekistan.
The event touched upon such important aspects of customs activities as the organization of work at customs posts, the specifics of the functioning of inspection and inspection complexes equipped there, and the fight against illegal trade at posts.
The participants exchanged views on risk management at customs posts, including careful control of high-risk goods and exchange of relevant information between customs officers of the two countries.
The course is organized within the framework of the joint program of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Customs Organization "On the control of container transport".
Customs inspection is a key tool that provides control over compliance with international treaties and acts in the field of customs regulation by participants in foreign economic activity.
