Turkmenistan improves digital customs services


A seminar on improving customs processes and electronic services related to electronic submission and processing of customs documents has been completed in Turkmenistan. This is reported on the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
A group of experts from Latvia was invited to conduct the course in the Turkmen capital. They highly appreciated the work carried out in Turkmenistan in the field of customs digitalization. Together with the participants, Latvian experts discussed best practices in simplifying customs procedures, issuing electronic permits and other documents by state bodies.
The importance of the "Single Window for Export-import Operations" system was emphasized. Its application is an effective tool for simplifying international trade procedures and allows representatives of the private sector to minimize their costs when performing export, import and transit operations.
The workshop was organized within the framework of the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) under the auspices of the European Union.
