Turkmen delegation to take part in UNESCO Anniversary Forum in Kazan
The UNESCO International Forum dedicated to the golden anniversary of the World Heritage Convention will be held in Kazan on December 4-9. 50 years ago – in 1972, one of the most effective and widely recognized international acts was developed and adopted under the auspices of UNESCO.
The conference will bring together about 1,000 participants from Russia and the CIS countries, Asia, Africa and Latin America, specialized ministers, managers of World Heritage sites, representatives of non-governmental, expert and youth organizations will come, the organizers report.
The Turkmen delegation included the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the head of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
The Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia also takes an active part in the International Forum in Kazan. A number of planned events will be held with the support of this international organization. And the venue for conferences and meetings on various topics, as well as plenary sessions, will be cultural venues and educational locations in Kazan and St. Petersburg. The events of the forum will be held under the motto "Intercultural dialogue as an imperative for the preservation of world heritage".
The Kazan City Hall will host a meeting of the responsible secretaries of the national commissions for UNESCO of the CIS member states, as well as inter-ministerial consultations on multilateral cooperation within UNESCO with the participation of heads of specialized departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the organizers of the forum said.
