The first electronic dictionary of IT terms has been launched in Turkmenistan
The new mobile application has become available in Turkmenistan- it is a dictionary of terms in the field of information and communication technologies named IT Sözlük.
The dictionary in three languages was created as a result of a joint partnership between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is intended for specialists in the field of IT technologies. It is available for download on App Store and Google Play platforms.
The glossary contains the main terms in the field of IT, set out in a concise and accessible form. It is designed for specialists in the field of communications and informatization, researchers, translators, teachers and students.
In the future, the Academy of Civil Service of Turkmenistan intends to regularly supplement the appendix with new terms and definitions, as well as expand it with terminology in the field of economics and environmental protection.
The need to create an IT dictionary was primarily dictated by the increase in the number of people specializing in communications, computer and information technologies in the country and the efforts of Turkmenistan in the transition to the digital economy.
In this regard, the partnership of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan with USAID promotes the introduction of digital solutions and capacity building of specialists for the development of digital networks in the country's public institutions.
