Russian Railways announced a 20% discount on cargo transportation across the border of Turkmenistan
The Russian Railways Holding has announced a 20% discount on export-import container transportation, which will be carried out through the Bolashak - Serhetyak border crossing, located on the border of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, the website of the Turkmen Embassy in the Russian Federation reports.
The discount will be valid for the whole of 2023 and will be aimed at helping to unlock the potential of the International Transport Corridor "North –South", in this case, its eastern branch, passing through the territory of Turkmenistan.
The eastern branch of the route, with a length of more than 900 kilometers, helps the northern regions of the continent to reach the ports of the Persian Gulf and the markets of South Asia.
