Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Korean companies to implement smart cities projects
Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during an official visit to the Republic of Korea, invited representatives of major Korean companies to participate in the implementation of large-scale urban development projects in Turkmenistan, TDH reports.
At a meeting with the heads of Korean companies, the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh noted that the priority is to update the appearance of Turkmen cities, and today the construction of a new administrative center of the Ahal region, which is an example of a completely innovative concept of a smart city, is already at the final stage.
In addition, the implementation of another megaproject has begun — Ashgabat City, which includes comfortable residential buildings, a road transport network, ecological zones, entertainment and educational centers for the population.
"We are aware of the interest of Daewoo Engineering & Construction in participating in this project and support its aspiration," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed.
