Deliberately false advertising in Turkmenistan will be punished with an administrative fine


The Code of Administrative Offences of Turkmenistan now includes article 3121 on deliberately false advertising. The law on the relevant amendment was published yesterday in the official Turkmen press and will come into force on January 1, 2023.
According to the amendment, for the use of deliberately false advertising of goods, works or services, as well as their manufacturers, performers or sellers, entails the imposition of a fine.
The amount of fines:
– for individuals — from 30 to 50 rates of the base value,
– for officials — from 40 to 60 rates of the base value,
– for legal entities — from 50 to 75 rates of the base value.
The amount of the base value for fines at the time of publication of the news in Turkmenistan is 100 manats.
