Turkmenistan has started to recognize European documents of higher education qualifications
Turkmenistan now recognizes the qualifications of the university system of the European region. The law on this was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and published yesterday in the official Turkmen press.
The Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Related to Higher Education in the European Region (the Lisbon Recognition Convention) provides guarantees for the recognition of qualifications acquired in each of the participating countries of the treaty.
This will enable graduates who have studied in the European region to continue their studies within the national education system to obtain a subsequent academic degree. In addition, the document facilitates access to the labor market for the countries participating in the Convention.
