Azerbaijan intends to expand the geography of gas supplies

10 European countries have expressed interest in starting to import Azerbaijani gas or in increasing it, Trend reports, citing the words of President Ilham Aliyev following the results of the conference "Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security and Economy".
The construction of additional gas pipelines, such as the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector, will help reduce prices in the European energy market and expand energy infrastructure with the possibility of connecting other countries.
The planned Bulgaria-Serbia interconnector, as well as the Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline connected to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, will allow the supply of natural gas to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Northern Macedonia and other countries.
However, as the Azerbaijani leader noted, the priority in increasing gas exports is to expand the capacity of the Southern Gas Corridor, which allows Azerbaijani gas to be delivered to Georgia, Turkey and the countries of Southern Europe.
