State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan Presents ‘Masterpieces for All’
The State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under Rasul Klychev has ended its concert season with a brilliant program, ‘Masterpieces for All’, at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. Solo opera singers Samir Rizaev and Gozel Annakhanova performed world-famous works by Khachaturian, Mozart, Lyadov, among others.
With the auditorium packed to capacity, it is a certain satisfaction to note that the Ashgabat public appreciates and loves classical music, welcoming every chance to enjoy live performances.
The concert opened with the overture to the opera ‘The Abduction from the Seraglio’. The light-flowing and cheerful melody with hints of soft sadness captured the hearts of listeners and helped to set a lofty tone.
After the Symphony No.3 by Brahms, Gozel Annakhanova appeared on the stage to perform Vissi d’arte from Puccini’s opera, Tosca. Just as the singer started singing, she captivated the audience with her wonderful soprano voice and artistic talent.
The evening of classical music also featured compositions by Dvorak, Leoncavallo, Petrov, Jiménez, and Márquez. Samir Rizaev sang Andante Sostenuto, a lyrical part of Khachaturian’s Concerto for Violin. The talented singer kept the audience amazed and thrilled from beginning to end.
The concert evoked a flood of emotions, and rapturous applause and loud shouts of ‘Bravo!’ from the spectators created a wonderful atmosphere and an enjoyable experience of listening to the timeless masterpieces.
