Turkmenistan will study the issue of introducing a special visa regime in the national tourist zone "Avaza" in accordance with international standards.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov at a meeting chaired by the head of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Avaza, TDH reports.

The special visa regime should ensure an increase in economic and financial potential, as well as improve immigration and customs procedures in the resort area, the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh focused on the creation of modern infrastructure in the tourist zone, including transport and logistics, in order to attract mass travelers.
