The upper house of the Turkmen parliament rejected the draft law on the state budget for 2023

The upper house of the Turkmen parliament rejected the Draft Law on the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2023, returning it to the lower house for revision on the proposal of the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.
At the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty, the head of the upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament noted that the state budget for next year provides for insufficient measures to address issues of ensuring employment and improving the quality of life of citizens.
More funds should be allocated to support business, increase the number of manufacturing enterprises, create an electronic industry, improve the food supply of the population, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
After completion, the draft law on the state budget will be submitted to the upper house of Parliament for reconsideration.
