It is planned to increase the living area of each resident of Turkmenistan to 23.4 square meters already in 2023, Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh on Wednesday, TDH writes.

This is planned to be achieved through the construction of 14.44 thousand square meters of housing at the expense of public funds, and at the expense of the private sector — 436.38 thousand square meters of housing in accordance with the presidential program of socio-economic development of the country for 2022-2028.

Speaking at a meeting of the upper house of parliament, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also stressed that providing citizens with housing is one of the main tasks of the state.
