Cotton harvesting and plowing for the next harvest continue in Turkmenistan
Thursday with the heads of the regions of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister for Agro-Industrial Complex assessed the progress of field work and the state of affairs at places in the main seasonal campaigns in agriculture.
The head of state listened to the reports of the governors and gave them instructions on the current agenda, which, in addition to cotton and wheat, included storage of various fruit and vegetables to ensure the stability of the consumer market in the winter.
The general situation in the country was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov. He reported on the ongoing harvest of the remaining cotton in the fields and ongoing plowing for its next crop. Winter wheat sprouts have been taken care of. Rice and sugar beets are being harvested at specialized farms in certain regions.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the main requirements for the organization of agricultural production, drew the attention of leaders to the issues of water use in the agro-industrial complex and the introduction of innovative approaches in agriculture, and gave personal instructions to the meeting participants.
