Youth employment support centers opened in Turkmenistan


Training and information centers have started operating in Turkmenistan to support the empowerment of young people in employment, according to a press release from UNDP in Turkmenistan.
The centers were established by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Program in six pilot cities — Ashgabat, Dashoguz, Mary, Tejen, Turkmenabad and Turkmenbashi. Their activities are carried out within the framework of the project STRIVE Asia, funded by the European Union.
The centers will become a platform for conducting trainings on psychological and legal support for youth, will contribute to the intensification of international cooperation on youth employment and social support.
The Centers will also organize "Open Hours" for the public to provide an opportunity to explore new technological opportunities and use resources for skills development and employment.
