The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the UAE has almost tripled in less than a year
The total volume of non-commodity trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the UAE in January—September 2022 increased almost threefold - by 296% compared to the same period last year, reaching $653 million.
Such data were provided by the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyudi in his Twitter account following the results of the Turkmen-Emirati business forum held in Abu Dhabi.
The increase in trade turnover was achieved through cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources, as well as the supply of automotive parts, broadcasting equipment and vegetable oils.
Al Zeyoudi also added that the business forum reflected the general enthusiasm of the parties to strengthen cooperation in the private sector, expand partnership areas, explore new opportunities to increase trade and investment flows and launch joint projects in priority sectors.
