Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to Russia Haruna Samake expressed readiness to develop broad trade, economic, political, cultural and humanitarian relations with Turkmenistan.
This is reported by the website of the Turkmen Embassy in the Russian Federation following the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Batyr Niyazaliyev with his Malian counterpart.
During the talks, the sides also discussed the organization of high-level mutual visits and the creation of a legal framework for cooperation between the two countries to strengthen and preserve the continuity of Turkmen-Malian relations.
Mali, which is one of the largest cotton harvesting and gold mining powers, has traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan. Thus, the capital of Mali, Bamako, is a twin city of the Turkmen capital.
