A meeting of the Council of Elders of the Charitable Foundation for Helping Children was held
The first meeting of the Council of Elders of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was held. The meeting was held by the founder of the fund – the head of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The meeting was attended by elders representing Ashgabat and five regions of the country, as well as the Executive Director of the Fund - Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty.
As was reported in the evening news release of the Turkmen State Radio and Television, the meeting discussed issues related to the provisions of the Family Code, legislative acts in the field of protecting the rights and interests of children in need of state assistance, and further practical work in this area.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the important role of the elders in educating the youth, strengthening the humanistic traditions and spiritual and moral foundations of the Turkmen society.
A charitable foundation to help children in need of care was established in March 2021. In the same year, at the expense of the fund, all children's departments of regional, district, city hospitals received new ambulances, and surgeries were carried out in medical centers of the country for children in need of care. The Foundation also pays for the treatment of children and the purchase of medical equipment.
