Turkmenistan is preparing to extend the contract for the export of electricity to Afghanistan

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Afghanistan Hoja Ovezov discussed with the Acting Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the neighboring country Abdul Latif Mansour cooperation in the energy sector, including the issue of extending electricity supplies to Afghanistan, the Kabul Times reports.

The sides exchanged views on the program of importing Turkmen electricity, and also touched upon the electrification projects of the Afghan districts of Homab and Karkin of Jauzjan province.

The Ambassador spoke about Turkmenistan's readiness to extend the contract for the supply of electricity to Afghanistan and the implementation of cooperation in electric power projects.
