The procedure for transferring state property to trust management has been approved in Turkmenistan
The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree approving the rules for the transfer of state property to trust management through competitive selection.
The document is based on the Law "On the Trust Management of State Property" adopted in November 2021 and is aimed at improving the efficiency of the use of assets and profitability of state-owned enterprises, attracting external and internal investments in the state economy, improving the financial condition of state property and improving its management.
According to article 4 of the above-mentioned law, its scope refers to shares and shares in the capitals of economic and joint-stock companies, state-owned enterprises and their property, with the exception of property of strategic importance.
The law does not apply to oil works and activities related to law enforcement, defense and security of the state.
In addition, state property in the form of production and non-production units and structural units that violate the technological cycle of the enterprise is not transferred to trust management.
