Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes part in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States
Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is taking part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Samarkand as an honorary guest at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The theme of the IX OTS Summit is "A new Era of Turkic Civilization: towards common development and prosperity". During the meeting, the parties are expected to discuss cooperation between member states and observer countries in the organization in various fields, exchange views on political and economic developments in the world.
Members of the OTS are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan and Hungary have observer status in the organization.
