Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was awarded the "Highest Order of the Turkic World"

Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the "Highest Order of the Turkic World" at the end of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand, TDH reports.

The Order is awarded to persons who have made a significant contribution to strengthening solidarity between Turkic-speaking peoples, developing cooperation between member States and increasing the recognition of the organization in the international community.

The award was presented by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh stressed that he regards this award as a sign of respect for Turkmenistan and the people of the country.
