ADB specialists conducted trainings for employees of the SBFEAT


Specialists of the Asian Development Bank conducted trainings for employees of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan on lending to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as combating money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The training on risk assessment when making decisions on granting loans to small and medium-sized enterprises was conducted by ADB credit underwriting specialist Kairat Shalabay.
During the classes, participants learned how to evaluate companies' business plans, conduct financial analysis of projects, as well as other features of SME lending based on the international experience of the Asian Development Bank. Attention was also paid to marketing tools in the banking sector.
The ADB consultant Muhammad Junaid Yunas Gori, specializing in risk assessment and combating money laundering, spoke at a profile training for specialists of the SBFEAT about measures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as international regulatory documents in this area.
In general, the trainings conducted by representatives of the Asian Development Bank are aimed at improving the skills of the SBFEAT employees and the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan through the services provided by the bank.
