Turkmenistan and Pakistan may create a company to solve joint logistics issues


The President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Askhan Zafar Bakhtavari, during talks with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov, stated the need to create a transport company to solve joint logistics issues.
This is reported by The Express Tribune following the meeting of the head of the diplomatic mission with representatives of the CCI.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan mentioned that the country will help meet the growing needs of the population of the republic for electricity, and also spoke about the possibilities of the transnational TAPI project, noting that affordable prices for Turkmen electricity will allow Pakistan to ensure sustainable economic growth.
"Pakistan and Turkmenistan should promote the increase of mutual business visits and organize exhibitions of our countries on a mutual basis for the development of trade," the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted, in turn.
The sides also touched upon the issue of laying fiber-optic cables, stressed the need to intensify economic ties and the importance of the ports of Karachi and Gwadar for transit trade of Turkmenistan.
