Turkmen athletes - winners of an international tournament
Turkmen athletes won three prizes, and with them three medals of all virtues, at the Kosanov’s Memorial international athletics tournament that started in Almaty. Alisher Sadullayev (student of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction) won the gold medal in the 200-meter race. The Turkmen athlete passed the given distance in 21.77 seconds. The Turkmen team also has a bronze medal in the women's 200-meter race. Its owner was Valentina Meredova, who finished with a time of 24.83 seconds. The silver medal for hammer throwing was awarded to Mergen Mammedov, who sent the projectile to 66.54 meters. The international tournament "Kosanov’s Memorial" is qualifying for the World Cup, which will be held in Doha in September this year, and the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo. This year, among the famous stars who participate in the Almaty international tournament is the Russian athlete Daria Klishina, performing in the long jump.
