Specialists of Turkmen ministries will take part in the SPECA 2022 Economic Forum


Specialists of the Turkmen Ministries of Finance and Economy, Agriculture and Environmental Protection, as well as the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers will take part in the SPECA 2022 Economic Forum on the theme "A more environmentally friendly and secure future" on November 16-17 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The forum will discuss potential opportunities for expanding regional cooperation to support a more environmentally friendly and secure future in the SPECA member countries - the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia.
The event is scheduled to develop ideas for coordinated actions by Governments, the UN system and other relevant stakeholders to ensure economic security and sustainability while achieving gender equality and women's empowerment.
On the morning of November 18, the seventeenth session of the SPECA Governing Council will also take place, at which the parties will review the current work under the Program, as well as hear a report on cooperation with partner organizations and donors.
The events are organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) together with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is the current chair country in SPECA.
