Kazakhstan will strengthen the fight against the extinction of seals and fish in the Caspian Sea

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to create a State Scientific Institute for the study of the Caspian Sea, as well as to organize a regular survey of the water area and coast to identify the facts of the mass death of seals and fish, Vlast.kz reports.

"In this regard, I consider it necessary to create a state scientific institute that will carry out research of the Caspian Sea. In addition, the government should work closely with colleagues from other Caspian littoral states on this issue," the President said.

In Turkmenistan, the Caspian Sea Institute was established in 2019 on the basis of the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the President of Turkmenistan.
