Turkmenistan and Iran aim to expand cooperation in the field of energy

Turkmenistan's Energy Minister Hajymuhammet Rejepmuradov discussed with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Mehrabian the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, the Tehran Times reports.

During the negotiations in the online format, the parties stressed the need to expand energy relations between the two neighboring states. The heads of the Ministries of Energy also noted the implementation of important projects in this area and the positive nature of bilateral political relations.

During the negotiations, it was noted that Turkmenistan is one of the important suppliers of electricity in the regional market and has great prospects for increasing supplies.
