Turkmen customs officers got acquainted with the standards of work of the EU cynological services


Representatives of the border and customs services of Turkmenistan discussed the improvement of the work of canine units within the framework of the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA-10), the official website of the EU delegation in the country reports.
The seminar, which lasted three days, allowed participants to better understand the organization and capabilities of canine units for detecting contraband, weapons, ammunition, narcotic drugs, etc.
They also considered the development of the necessary rules to combat cross-border crime and illegal trafficking of prohibited goods, taking into account the experience of the border services of Lithuania and Latvia according to EU standards.
