Researchers from the American company Pfizer and the German drug manufacturer BioNTech SE have begun testing a combined vaccine against COVID-19 and influenza, Reuters reports.
Research in this direction marks the beginning of a new stage in the work of pharmaceutical companies and promises significant changes in the global vaccine market.
The first trials of a single vaccine against coronavirus and influenza, based on mRNA technology, began in the United States on 180 volunteers aged 18 to 64 years. Moderna and Novavax are currently working on similar vaccines.
