The Development Strategy Center assessed the prospects of digitalization in the Central Asian countries


The Development Strategy Center, located in Uzbekistan, described the main problems and prospects of the national digitalization strategies of the Central Asian "five" countries, Asia plus reports.
It follows from the publication that the modernization and application of digital technologies can fully integrate the national economies of the states of the region into the world economic system.
The Center identified the following main aspects and characteristics based on the results of studying each of the national strategies:
– Central Asian countries are implementing ambitious projects in the field of digital technologies to create a unified information space and a society with modern economic tools,
– reducing the digital divide at the national and regional level should be a priority of the development strategy of the Central Asian countries,
– the introduction of experience exchange practices at the legislative level should serve as the basis for mutual fruitful cooperation between the countries of the region,
– the countries of the region should strive for a digital transition of the private sector,
– the states of the region should continue to ensure public access to information and communication technologies and the Internet.
The Development Strategy Center is a non—governmental, non-profit organization that is one of the largest discussion platforms in the region and was established under the auspices of an Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society, as well as Uzbek research institutes and departments.
