The State Electric Power Corporation "Turkmenenergo" and the joint stock company "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan" will sign an additional agreement on increasing the supply of electricity from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan.

The resolution authorizing Turkmenenergo to make an additional agreement with Uzbek partners was signed at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.

Earlier this week, the press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov told journalists that official Tashkent plans to additionally import another 4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from Turkmenistan per year.
