The EBRD organized an online meeting of Turkmen exporters with potential buyers from Central Asia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development organized an online meeting of Turkmen producers of products with potential importers from neighboring countries - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting was held within the framework of the EBRD's "Consultations for Small Businesses" program funded by the European Union in Turkmenistan and is part of a series of events to promote Turkmen exports, which was launched in May 2022.
The purpose of the online meeting was to strengthen the export potential of local producers, to acquaint representatives of foreign business with products manufactured in Turkmenistan and to discuss issues related to export-import operations with the participation of Turkmen entrepreneurs.
Manufacturers of Turkmen products made presentations in which they talked about the activities of their companies, the quality of the goods produced, as well as the production technologies used, which in most cases meet high international standards. Among the invited were both experienced exporters and firms planning to start supplying goods abroad in the near future.
Foreign entrepreneurs who have experience of cooperation with Turkmen business stressed that very large companies capable of producing large volumes of products are operating in Turkmenistan today. As an example, one of the local shoe manufacturers using advanced European technologies and using high-quality raw materials was cited.
