The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and all the staff of the United Nations Secretariat on the UN Day, expressing wishes for good health, happiness and well-being.

"Cooperation with the United Nations and strengthening its role is a priority of the foreign policy strategy of independent neutral Turkmenistan," the head of state said in his message, TDH reports.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov also underlined that "the principles of the UN Charter should remain the legal and ideological basis in international relations."
