USAID invites Turkmen agronomists to take part in a profile webinar


The US Agency for International Development (USAID) invites agronomists, managers of fruit and vegetable farms, consultants on the implementation of international standards to participate in a webinar on "Measures to combat pests and diseases of fruit and vegetable crops in accordance with the rules of Global G.A.P.".
The purpose of the event is to familiarize the audience with the specifics of carrying out various measures to combat pests and diseases of fruit and vegetable crops in accordance with the rules of GLOBAL G.A.P., which in the future will allow them to expand export directions for the sale of agricultural products.
The webinar will consist of the following sections:
– pest identification and control measures,
– diseases of fruit and vegetable crops and measures to combat them,
– the role of seed etching in pest and disease control,
– understanding pesticides - quality, types, classes and acute toxicity of common pesticides,
– maximum residue level and risks associated with pesticide residues in food products,
– mitigation of environmental risks when using pesticides,
– personal protective equipment when working with pesticides.
Following the results of the webinar, participants will receive theoretical knowledge that will allow them to identify the main pests and diseases of agricultural crops, take effective measures to combat pests, diseases on fruit and vegetable crops, determine the quality, types, classes and toxicity of common pesticides, etc.
The webinar will be held on October 28 from 10:00 to 12:00.
