Google is preparing to release the long-awaited new products. Overnight, they introduced a line of products: smart watches, smartphones and tablets.
Pixel Watch – the first smartwatch from Google
The product that many people were waiting for both impressed and disappointed. The new gadget has a number of ambiguous solutions, so obviously not everyone will like it. So what is it about them?
Features of Google Pixel Watch:
The watch received a round AMOLED display with brightness up to 1000 nits and support for AlwaysOn Display. The company did not specify the diameter of the panel, but the size of the watch is 41 mm. The pixel density is 320 per inch. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is responsible for protection.
On the first "live" photos, quite large frames are noticeable, which has already upset users. According to rough estimates, the width of the frame is 4.2 mm, which in itself is a lot.
In addition, the watch is equipped with not the latest Exynos 9110 processor (this chip was released back in 2018 and there are more modern solutions on the markets). A special coprocessor based on the Cortex-M33 core is also included.
The device's memory is 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory.
The battery with a capacity of 294 milliampere-hours is designed to operate the gadget during the day. At the same time, the battery is charged by 50 percent in half an hour.
But there are also advantages: the Pixel Watch is equipped with a speaker and microphone, so they can be used for telephone conversations. And the PRO version with an LTE modem, according to Google, will allow you to abandon the smartphone altogether in a number of scenarios.
You can also note the presence of a GPS module, NFC, water protection (5 ATM), Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 4 and the WearOS 3.5 operating system.
The watch is connected to the OS starting from Android 8.0 and higher.
Cooperation with Fitbit has also borne fruit – this has allowed to create the most accurate, according to the company, heart rate sensor. In addition, an ECG sensor is included. The watch is expected to have a large number of different fitness modes, health tracking functions and other software chips.
Another nice bonus – along with the watch, customers will receive a free YouTube Premium subscription for three months and six months of Fitbit Premium.
How much do they cost and when are they on sale?
The Pixel Watch is priced at $350 for the regular version and $400 for the PRO version. The novelty can already be ordered on the official website, but the start date of sales was not announced. Many assume that they will start together with smartphones – on October 13.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: everything you know about the new smartphones
The presentation of Google devices was held on October 6. The company introduced two smartphones at once – Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. By the way, most of their characteristics were already known in advance from insiders, but there is also a new ones.
What do these two models have in common?
These smartphones are the world's first models with Android 13 out of the box. Smartphones will receive security updates for five years, and Android updates for three years.
Both smartphones will work with the new Tensor G2 processor, which this year switched to a 4-nanometer process technology. These chips are not focused on performance, because they are not positioned as gaming. The main effort here is to focus on the capabilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Tensor G2 has not become faster than top MediaTek and Qualcomm, but Android 13 optimization can provide even better performance than in some other flagships. According to the information, the new generation processor is able to perform machine learning tasks "60% faster and 20% more efficiently." It is responsible for functions such as, for example, Photo Unblur. With its help, Google's advanced AI will remove blurring and noise from old photos taken many years ago by any old phone. This feature is exclusive to Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
They have two configurations of RAM and flash memory: 8/128 and 8/256 GB for Pixel 7 and 12/128 and 12/256 GB for Pixel 7 Pro. The latter also offers a 512 GB permanent memory version.
Both devices support wireless charging.
Smartphones are equipped with security modules of own production Titan M2 and received protection from dust and water IP68.
Identical front-facing cameras with a resolution of 10.8 MP and support for 4K video recording.
There is no charger included.

The physical dimensions of the smartphone have decreased to 155.6x73.2x8.7 mm, and its weight is 197 gr.
The display is still AMOLED with FHD+ resolution, but shows a 25% higher maximum brightness than the Pixel 6 display. The screen still has a refresh rate of only 90 Hertz.
The Pixel 7 has a smaller battery – 4355 mAh (this makes the case thinner). Camera: 50 MP with wide angle lens and optical stabilization + 12 MP sensor and ultra-wide angle lens. The maximum zoom is 8x.

The pro version of the smartphone, according to the source, "shows the features of a real flagship": the presence of a clear display with a higher refresh rate, a large camera sensor, a better lens combination and more.
Pixel 7 Pro received an OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a QHD+ resolution and a frame rate of up to 120 hertz.
The sides of the display are less curved, like last year, and the Gorilla Glass Victus is still installed on the smartphone.
The battery capacity is slightly larger than the previous one – 5000 mAh. The smartphone supports fast and reverse charging.
There is no slot for micro-SD, but there is a slot for nano-SIM. eSIM support has been announced.
The metal body is made of 100% recycled aluminum.
Camera: 50 MP main module with the ability to combine 4-in-1 pixels. The f/1.85 lens has a viewing angle of 82 degrees. The main camera has received optical and electronic image stabilization, it allows you to record video in 4K format at speeds of 30 and 60 frames per second. Optional module 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera with a viewing angle of 125.8° FoV. The Pixel 7 Pro also has a third module – with a 48 MP sensor and a lens that provides 5x optical zoom. The maximum zoom is 30x.
The phone can record 10-bit HDR video. Google is also partnering with the developers of Snapchat and TikTok to provide higher quality videos for them. And a special camera application uses machine learning skills to create a cinematic blur or even more stabilization of the video taken with your hands.

The long-a waited Pixel Tablet
Pixel Tablet is the first tablet released by the company in the last many years. And despite the fact that the product has already been announced, there is no need to hurry – it will definitely not go on sale in 2022.
At the announcement, quite a bit was said about the novelty. Obviously, Google has decided to use a new approach in announcing devices. If earlier information was carefully hidden, now the company reveals the design and some characteristics in advance.
