American journalist and blogger Scott Gurian from New Jersey conducted his own "investigation" about how his Lexus car with a sticker about the inspection from his home state was captured on footage half a world away from the United States - in Turkmenistan, News 12 New Jersey reports.

«Расследование» американского блогера: как Lexus после урагана в США попал в Туркменистан

On the air of the Positively New Jersey program, Scott said that his mechanic friend shared with him a video showing a car with an American certification number on the windshield. The journalist recognized his car, which he sold after Hurricane Ida hit the state. As it turned out, his car turned out to be in another part of the world – in one of the settlements of Turkmenistan.

After conducting his own "investigation", Scott found out that a batch of damaged cars, including his Lexus, was transported by ferry to Dubai (UAE). A Turkmen businessman who is engaged in the assembly and sale of furniture noticed the car there and decided to purchase it. So the inspection sticker, along with the car that "survived" the hurricane, the long voyage and the Arab sun, ended up in Turkmenistan.

Scott said that he was extremely curious to find out how a Japanese passenger car ended up half a world away from the first owner, noting that such "teleportation" testifies to the wonders of world trade of the XXI century.
