Serdar Berdimuhamedov called on CIS countries to join Turkmenistan's transport projects

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that the CIS states could join the energy, transport and communication projects initiated by Turkmenistan in the southern direction of the Commonwealth during the CIS summit in Astana, TDH reports.
"This is a very promising and profitable business. Let's offer potential partners the launch of a multilateral mechanism of communication on these projects," the Turkmen leader said, speaking at the summit on Friday.
The Head of Turkmenistan noted that the country's projects related to Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan are planned to be further diversified with access to the Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf countries and the Middle East.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his conviction that participation in such initiatives will find a positive, interested response, and called on the relevant CIS committees to be given appropriate instructions and powers.
The President of Turkmenistan also noted that he sees great opportunities for cooperation in creating a modern system of combined logistics in the Caspian region with the participation of states that do not have direct access to the World Ocean.
