Turkmen-Kazakh negotiations ended with the signing of 14 joint documents


Negotiations between the leaders of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries ended in Akorda. The parties discussed in detail a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda and identified the main areas for further cooperation.
Following the talks, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov adopted a Joint Statement.
A package of documents was also signed. Their list is given on the Akorda website.

In particular, the Comprehensive Program for Bilateral Cooperation for the period 2022-2024 was adopted, and memorandums of cooperation and understanding were signed at the departmental level in the areas of financial policy, the chemical industry, tourism, development of transport and transit cooperation, in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and in the field of plant quarantine.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Strategic Studies of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan; between the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The Ministries of Internal Affairs of both countries adopted a memorandum of intent in the field of combating crime, and the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi. A total of 14 joint documents were signed.
