The Railway Department of the Government of Afghanistan reported that an agreement has been reached with the leadership of the railway administration of Turkmenistan that 28 Afghan students will be trained at various production sites of this department.

"A total of 28 people have been agreed, of which 14 people will leave now, and their visa and passport processes are ongoing and will be completed soon, and the remaining 14 people will be sent in the coming weeks to train in various railway departments," Abdul, a representative of the Taliban government, said in an interview with Deutsche Welle Sami Durrani Durrani.

Afghan students going to Turkmenistan will study there at the expense of Turkmenistan. Durrani said he is trying to get similar scholarships in other countries.

In addition, the Afghan administration says that Turkmenistan has promised to build a railway from Andkhoy station to the center of Andkhoy.

In the explanation to this statement it is written: "The Turkmen side promised to send a technical group to Akina in the near future to make a decision on the construction of a pre-designed 10-kilometer railway from Andkhoy station to the center of Andkhoy."

Currently, Afghanistan is connected to Turkmenistan by a railway line in Turgundi and Akin, through which commercial goods are transported daily.
