Dragon Oil – Platinum partner of OGT-2022


Dragon Oil (UAE) will act as a platinum partner at the International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" (OGT-2022), which will be held on October 26-28 in Ashgabat.
The Arab company, headquartered in Dubai, occupies a leading position in the industry thanks to advanced technologies and experience in the field of exploration, development and operation of oil and gas fields.
Over the past ten years, Dragon Oil has grown from an oil and gas company with a major asset in Turkmenistan into a global operator with mining and exploration assets in Iraq, Egypt and Afghanistan, applying advanced methods and innovations to diversify its portfolio in order to achieve sustainable development and create value for its shareholders.

Dragon Oil's key asset is the Cheleken field on the Caspian Sea shelf in the southwestern part of Turkmenistan, which has been successfully developed since 2000. The Cheleken block includes two main deposits (Jeytun and Dzhigalybek), as well as other promising facilities. The deposits are located approximately 10-40 km from the coast of the Cheleken Peninsula at a depth of 10 to 30 meters.
The company has recently acquired a number of fields in the Gulf of Suez in Egypt, namely June, Ramadan, October and Murjan, as well as Block 9 in Iraq.
Dragon Oil has 100% in concessions in Turkmenistan and Egypt and only 30% in the Iraqi block together with other WEG partners from China and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.

The company currently produces 160,000 barrels of oil per day at three assets and aims to reach a peak production of 300,000 barrels of oil per day by 2026, which will entail the development of existing assets and the opening of new growth opportunities.
