UNESCO World Civilizations Club opened in IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan


The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the grand opening of the "World Civilizations" UNESCO club, created by the secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the University administration.

The new club will be a place where future Turkmen diplomats and their mentors will have the opportunity to engage in scientific, cultural, and educational projects aimed at promoting the humanistic principles and ideals of UNESCO.
The opening ceremony was attended by the academic staffof the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, students, and representatives of public organizations. Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chinar Rustemova was the guest of honor at the event.

According to the participants of the meeting, the tasks of the new UNESCO club at the institute will include the development of intercultural communications, fostering a tolerant attitude towards other cultures, preparing information materials and video content that will promote the ideals of UNESCO.
The club's work plan for the near future also includes events in which students and teachers of the IIR will participate in online meetings with representatives of UNESCO clubs abroad in order to exchange experience and discuss issues of humanitarian cooperation.

In the room of the new club, the participants of the event got acquainted with documents and information materials about the work of UNESCO, discussed plans for further work and shared their personal expectations from the project. The guests expressed confidence that the UNESCO World Civilizations Club in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will become a place for young people to develop knowledge about the culture, traditions, and customs of Turkmenistan, and help them gain valuable experience in creative and scientific work.
