Today in Ashgabat the rating tournament on sports dances was held - the first of its kind competition in the history of the newly formed national federation for this sport, which was revived in Turkmenistan with the triumphant holding of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Today's tournament called "Meeting friends-2018" gathered both dancers who already have experience of international performances, and very young who make their first steps on the sports dance floor. Participants of different age groups demonstrated their abilities in many styles. If the program for children included polka, disco and a slow waltz, the juniors skillfully performed more complicated cha-cha-cha, rumba, samba and jive. As a result, Alina Chebelinskaya was recognized as the best among juniors; Valeria Rukhlyadko took the second place in this category and Anastasia Mikhailova - the third place. Of course, the teenagers got a more spectacular program, but the kids not only touched the audience, but also subdued the fans with a sincere desire to work with all their might, keeping up with the "adults". After all, all of them, first of all, friends - a team, aimed at conquering new heights. During the breaks between performances, the viewers could enjoy the performances of the dance groups “Dream”, “Surprise” and “Art motion” under the guidance of talented coaches Irina Davidovich and Alexander Sisekin. Bronze medalists of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games - Alexander Sisekin and Valeriya Nepomnyashchaya - also joined the judging team of the tournament.
